Sonnet

My bedroom floor was once a barren place,

A melancholy scrap of wooden land,

The quiet room of winter's pace,

Resolves me to remove something so bland.

And when the frosty night occurred,

Of gifts and cookies by evergreens,

To me, a prize of loving smile transferred

Of fluffy tiny sparkly playful things

The cotton rabbits, a joyful nimble pair,

A group of little verdant soldier crew.

Assorted colored bricks, a fortress where,

The swine of coins and birds resided too.

And now a land of life I do adore,

Has crossed upon my barren bedroom floor.
